Allan provided an amazing commentary to complement the wondrous sites from the bus windows. He budgeted our time wisely and gave us ample opportunity to explore at each stop. The tour was very professional and I would certainly recommend it to others.

Seward to Anchorage Transfer Overview
You will disembark your cruise ship and board the bus with us about 8:30AM. Starting in Seward, you will enjoy this informative bus tour on your way to Anchorage. You can then take the chance to have a quick look at a small-boat harbor that is filled with pleasure craft as well as commercial fishing vessels and tour boats. We then turn west to reach Exit Glacier, about 4 miles north of Seward, the only glacier accessible by the road. With only a short walk, you can stand right next to this majestic glacier.
You will enjoy the ride on Seward Highway through the pristine Kenai Mountains above and below tree line. Pass through Moose Pass with wonderful views of pristine mountains, glaciers, and wildlife.
Next, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you can view bison, elk, eagles, moose, caribou, and musk oxen in a natural setting. Continue on the highway and view the remains of Portage, a small town ravaged in the 1964 earthquake.
Next stop is at Girdwood at Alyeska Ski Resort where you can take a tram up the Alyeska Mountain 2,300 feet to enjoy the spectacular views of seven glaciers, majestic mountains and Turnagain Arm (if weather permits). You will then eat lunch (variety of sandwiches, snacks, and water) on top of the mountain with breathtaking views.
Continuing North on the Seward Highway, Turnagain Arm stretches on the left side of the road, where often you can see Dall sheep at Windy point or beluga whales at Beluga point (drive by). Check out the progress of salmon fisherman below the bridges along the Seward highway. Just south of Anchorage, the road borders Potter Marsh, a portion of the Anchorage Coastal Waterfowl Refuge. Lastly, you will arrive in Anchorage – the largest city in Alaska.
Most visitors that come to Alaska to experience the “true wilderness” tend to overlook Anchorage, but it’s well worth spending some time here experiencing the only big-city taste that the state has to offer. First visit the Ulu Factory where you can get some Alaskan chocolate, smoked salmon and other gifts. Take a glance at the original tent city that started in the Ship Creek area and is now also occupied by Alaska Railroad Depot. Take a quick look at the salmon in the creek and watch the fish running up the stream. You may also see the locals trying to catch the salmon.
Next see the Earthquake Park, which now stands on the land liquefied – swallowing the coast line when the “Good Friday” earthquake rocked Anchorage in March of 1964. Continue on to the stop at Point Woronzof, this is a great opportunity to see Cook Inlet and the whole city from a distance.
Next you will get to see Lake Hood, which is the largest and busiest floatplane base in the world. Lake Hood is a great place to relax and watch the many landings and takeoffs of floatplanes. Then back to downtown where you get to see a whole downtown area. While enjoying the ride make sure to notice Anchorage’s famous flowers and great shopping areas! We will drop off anywhere in Anchorage after the tour ends.
This Full Day Seward to Anchorage Bus Tour is a shared transfer service in our most comfortable coaches with tinted windows, easy step up (unlike full-size vans that other transfer companies use, you don’t have to bend over or hit your head climbing in and out), air conditioner/heater, large picture-view windows, full size individual bus seats (unlike vans that other transfer companies use, you will have a private seat for yourself and will not be holding somebody else’s bag), DVD player, full narration.

YES, absolutely!
All we do everyday is transport cruise ship passengers. We have a schedule for each cruise line for each day. Our schedule was set up after years of picking up and dropping off people at the cruise ship terminal to accommodate cruise ship passengers.
It works great for passengers getting off a ship on each particular day. There is only ONE SHIP per day, per port in our area and each port is a VERY small place with ONE small terminal building right in front of the ship dock. Our cruise ship ports differ from large ports in other places, there are NO several large ships which are able to dock in Seward or Whittier, only ONE (rarely two in Seward) per day.
Once the ship calls your number to disembark, it takes 5-10 minutes to find us (for normal walking pace) inside the cruise ship terminal building next to the luggage and our buses are right outside the building.
Each passenger is designated a specific time to get off the ship according to the form that each passenger fills out once on the ship. If you travel with us, you will be given a specific time as listed below to disembark. This does NOT mean that all the rest of 2000 people will be getting off at the same time. Since disembarkation lasts about 4 hours, each group of people will be walking off at a specific time. There are no customs in Seward or Whittier ports, so there are no lines, or chaos when disembarkation is happening. Everything is done in an efficient and timely manner. There are no delays, rushing, hassle or panic. If you feel that you are going to be delayed, please give us a CALL on 1-907-350-6010 OR 1-888-257-8527 so we know what is happening to you, since our bus has to depart at specific time also found below.
Here are all the ship docking and disembarkation times along with our bus departure times. These times work for passengers traveling with our company year after year:

- 12:00AM (NOTE: midnight) docking time at Whittier port

Narrated transfer and tour both take the same route, same narration, however the tour is a little bit longer as it stops at the Wildlife Conservation Center which is the most popular attraction on Seward highway. You will see black bears, moose, caribou, bison, and other Alaskan animals in their natural settings at the Wildlife Conservation Center. We highly recommend it as most people truly enjoy the view and animals and leave this place with a ton of photos. As time permits the tour also stops for photo opportunities.

What Previous Passengers Say About Us
This was an unexpected addition and so much more enjoyable and informative than a cruise shuttle. The tour guide Bailey and driver Doug were 10 out of 10! Bailey was enthusiastic and informative. She added her personal stories which painted another view to the beauty of Alaska! Even though we had to trek back to pick a passenger who missed the bus (which was impressive) we had plenty of time to see the sights and stop for some wildlife and Glacier visits! Well worth the money! I recommend this for anyone traveling from Anchorage to Seward or elsewhere 🤔 😉 – June 2023
Great way to transfer from Seward to Anchorage
Such a great way to get from Seward to Anchorage. Originally just looking for a straight transfer but the day tour option would drop us at the hotel so we upgraded and so glad we did. Visited some great spots, had just the right amount of time at each, just an excellent day. The driver (Allen) made it – his informative commentary and stories just made it. Highly recommend.
About Seward, Alaska
Seward is the easiest place to find fish and see glaciers. The year-round population is about 2,000, but it can swell to about 30,000 around the popular Fourth of July weekend festivities. The town was named after William Seward, secretary of state under President Andrew Johnson, who engineered the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867. His critics around the country were appalled. The United States had spent $7.2 million, they cried, for icebergs, and polar bears. Cartoonists showed Seward amid glaciers and walruses. They claimed the new territory should more aptly be called “Walrussia” or “Seward’s Folly.” Asked at the end of his long and distinguished career about his single greatest achievement, Seward responded, “The purchase of Alaska! But it will take Congress and the American people a generation to find it out.” That original purchase price has been paid back thousands of times over in fur, gold, fish, timber, and oil. Ironically, now tourists come (and pay) to see icebergs, walruses, polar bears, and glaciers.
While you’ll see plenty of ice in Seward, you won’t see walruses or polar bears this far south, unless you come for a strange event the third week of January, known as the Seward Polar Bear Jump-off Festival. When everyone else is wearing parkas and wool hats, strange characters in costumes and capes – all for charity and the theater of the absurd – plunge into the frigid waters of Resurrection Bay and come flying back out. It’s their entry fee to an elite and wacky club, the Polar Bear Club.
Resurrection Bay is the best of Seward, an inviting front yard, attracting boaters, birders, kayakers, fishermen, sailors, and whale watchers. Full of glaciers and incredible wildlife, all the western coast of the bay is in Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward is the beginning of the railroad to Fairbanks and Mile 0 on the old historic Seward to Nome gold rush/mail route, today more familiarly known as the Iditarod Trail.
